RHI Somatic Intimacy Coach & Bodywork Practitioner
& Supervisor Directory
Your practitioner will help you explore step-by-step practices that will support you in inhabiting new ways of being.
You decide together with your practitioner which practices will support your growth.
Our Somatic Intimacy Coaches and Bodywork Practitioners are all trained in the REEF™ (Relational Erotic and Emotional Fluency) coaching model as developed by Katie Sarra and Phoebe Garland. This has foundations in research, teachings, and practices from a wide range of specialisms encountered by Katie and Phoebe in their 40 years of clinical practice, including Affective Relational Neuroscience, Neuro Psycho-Analysis, Mindfulness, Art Psychotherapy, Shamanic and Psychedelic-assisted programs, Sexological Bodywork®, Tantra, Bio-energetics, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Body Poem™, Wheel of Consent®, and Right Use Of Power™.
All our CSI, CSIB Practitioners & CSSE Supervisors are trained in facilitating online from anywhere in the world. You can search for CSIB practitioners in your geographical location.
Our somatic Intimacy Coaches and Bodywork practitioners are trained to facilitate over 45 somatic practices to enhance your embodied decision-making in intimate relationships with yourself and others.
You will be guided through what we call ‘Somatic Assessments’ for enhancing your confidence in intimate decision-making.
These include enhancing your somatic recognition of your YES and NO …and how to tell the difference.
Learning how to recognise and represent your limits before it's too late.
These practices include empowering your agency and building confidence through The Wheel of Consent to explore co-created relationship agreements we are all on board with; becoming fluent in navigating intimate space and distances; role-playing repair processes; becoming fluent in your creative self-expression; healing body image concerns; and many more.
We all carry culturally influenced internalised inhibitions that interrupt our receptivity and attunement for trusting our authentic spontaneity.
Learning to explore, and try out, discovering new, confident, self-expressive ways of being.
Practice in privacy before coming out.
These are journeys into deeper self-acceptance that build your confidence to make changes in your relationships and life choices, moving away from what is not right for you and towards what brings you gratitude.
Your practitioner is trained to support your confidence in co-creating informed, intimate decision-making and to help you heal from the emotional hangovers of times when you might have been in endurance or suffered from decisions that have not worked well for you.
Deepening our attuned relationship with our body supports being informed by it, rather than by our mind’s projections, as we navigate agreements in intimate relationships.
We are most disabled when we are unable to represent ourselves. This may be due to not knowing what we want, losing sensations, or lacking confidence.
Our practitioners are trained to support you with erotic and emotional fluency and regulation so that whatever arises in a session can be welcomed and navigated together - including trauma responses. There may be aspects of your life you feel some shame or shyness about and want to be liberated from, and your practitioner can be alongside you, helping you out of loneliness that is so common when we are experiencing shame.

Many of our practitioners are also specialised in working with couples to help you come together and get back on the same page after ruptures in your attunement and understanding of each other.
We offer practices for you both to inhabit new ways of being, so you can grow together and deepen your intimacy skills with each other.
You may wish to overcome troublesome turn-ons, intrusive inner dialogue, or repeating patterns in relationships that no longer serve your best interests.
This may include exploring core erotic themes that are unconsciously driving your relationship choices.
For some, hypersensitivity in arousal or numbness and loss of arousal alongside emotions or loss of feelings may be limiting your choice with your confidence in intimate situations.
Taoist Erotic Massage practices
These practices involve being guided in up- and down-regulated breathing patterns to enhance arousal regulation. Habits of going off into erotic fantasy or shame were seen as distractions, with body-focusing guidance on bringing back attention to the body, offering immersion in sustained sexual arousal. The receiver bathes in the altered states of having journeyed with waves of arousal.
However, for some, these down-regulated altered states led to emotional hangovers and the awakening of implicit memories that some practitioners were not trained in holding space for feeling out at sea, waving red flags, and nobody recognising them.
Alongside Betty Martin, developing consensual relationship agreements with the Wheel of Consent, I was developing the ‘I want’ as an antidote to the Tantra Massage treatment model, in which versions of what was expected were either disappointing or surprising for both the practitioner and the client, without clarity at the outset.
Coming from a psychoanalytic background, influencing my facilitation, I could see the somatic opening potential for re-traumatising as well as for integrating exiled aspects of self. I witnessed one too many casualties in emotional hangovers with shame snowballing shame.
Our Relational Harmony Institute training program for practitioners has developed trauma-informed ways of facilitating working with altered states, making this area of exploration now possible.
The shaming of shame
This has become a widespread problem in our field of sexuality, from when somatic embodiment erotic practices were taught in the early waves of shame-busting, leading to an exhibitionistic route to shame-free. Sexuality trainings and workshops have multiplied in our field, influenced by the anarchic days where anything could happen and did!
There were widespread undercurrents of shame, with individuals at the effect of emotional hangovers having ‘gone along’ with what the influencers were guiding, magnified by the pressures to belong in these communities.
Betty Martin acutely noticed this tendency in the field of sexuality and developed the Wheel of Consent, which has revolutionised sexual practices, shifting from a traditional treatment model to one that facilitates active receiving through relationship agreements, focusing on choice and attuned decision-making rather than the doing-and-being-done-to approaches.
The Wheel of Consent offers the titration required for many people entering into erotic bodywork practices, which all our RHI practitioners are trained in.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
From under the cloaks of shame, many have 'come out' and come home into collective power belonging, and this has hugely influenced our field of sexuality concerning ethical practice.
These studies have proven that the mind alone cannot heal what is tortured inside the body, and it is the body that is keeping the score with the mind managing this.
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) was first widely recognised with the symptoms of flashbacks observed and experienced by war veterans, and is a known life-destroying consequence of war that has impacted so many. And it is not just war that impacts a person’s safety and well-being. Many of us have come through experiences that were too much to handle alone
Psychologists, psychiatrists, neuroscientists and psychotherapists researched together to deepen knowledge for understanding trauma and ways of integrating exiled grief and pain.
Bessel van der Kolk, in his book 'The Body Keeps the Score', articulated and brought home into hearts the heartbreak of the trauma responses to unintegrated, unwitnessed suffering and pain. He normalised our common understanding, which has offered liberation to many living in hiding with pathologised identities, who thought they were not normal and would never lead harmonious lives, have the grounded ability to be of service and contribute to society, or be in non-dramatic, intimate relationships.
Our RHI practitioners are trained to understand and work with trauma, which is integral to our session structure and coaching model.
